This page explains how to update the status of a task, allowing you to mark tasks as complete or reopen them as needed.
The task list has a checkbox you can use to mark tasks as complete.
To mark a task as complete, follow these steps:
Navigate to the project or task list where the task is located.
Locate the specific task you wish to mark as complete.
On the left side of the task row, you will see a .
Click the . The task's status will immediately update to "Closed", and the checkbox will show a checked state.
To mark a task as open, follow these steps:
Navigate to the project or task list where the task is located.
Locate the specific task you wish to mark as open. This task will have a checked indicating it is currently "Closed".
Click the . The task's status will immediately update to "Open", and the checkbox will return to an unchecked state.
- Click on any task from a task list or project view. This action will open the task details panel on the right side of your screen.
- Within the task details panel, scroll down until you find the section labeled "Status".
- Inside the "Status" section, you will see a dropdown menu.
- Click on this dropdown menu.
- Select either "Open" or "Closed" from the available options to update the task's status. The change will be applied immediately.
By default, when a task is marked as "Closed", it will no longer appear in the standard task views. This helps to keep your active task lists focused on tasks that are still in progress. However, you can easily adjust your view to include closed tasks using the filter options.
When a task's status is changed to "Closed", the system automatically filters it out from the default task views. This means that in your main task lists, Kanban boards, timeline views, and calendar views, you will primarily see tasks that are "Open".
To view tasks that have been closed, you need to apply a filter:
On your task view page, find and click the . This is at the top right of the page.
Clicking the Filter Button will open the "Tasks Filter Popup".
Within the popup, locate the filter option for "Status".
This will show only tasks with the relevant status.
After selecting your desired status, click the (or similar confirmation button) within the popup.
Once the filter is applied, the task view will refresh to display tasks that match your selected status, including closed tasks if you chose "Closed" or "Open".
