Setting Task Dates

This guide explains how to set and manage dates for your tasks within your account, ensuring your projects stay organized and on track.
You can assign tasks a single date, a date range, or set them to recur.

Setting a Single Date for a Task

A single date task is used when a task needs to be completed on a specific day.
To set a single date for a task:
Locate the task you wish to modify.
Choose "Single date" from the Date options input.
Click on the "Single date" input to show the calendar. Choose a date and click "Ok" to set the date.

Setting a Date Range for a Task

A date range task is used when a task spans multiple days, with a distinct start and end date.
To set a date range for a task:
Locate the task you wish to modify.
Choose "Date range" from the Date options input.
Click on the "Date range" input to show the calendar. You can now choose a start date and an end date from the calendar. Click "Ok" to set the date.

Setting a Recurring Task

A recurring task is used for activities that need to be repeated at regular intervals, such as daily, weekly, or monthly.
To set a task as recurring:
Locate the task you wish to modify.
Access the task's date settings. You will find an option to select the "Date Type".
Choose "Recurring" from the available "Date Type" options.
A text input field will appear where you can describe the recurrence pattern (e.g., "every Monday", "first day of each month", "daily").
Enter your desired recurrence pattern into this text field.
    Click the "Save recurrence" button.
The system will process your input and calculate the next occurrence dates for the task.
When a recurring task is marked as complete, the system automatically generates a new instance of that task with updated dates based on the recurrence pattern you defined. This ensures the recurring task continues to appear on your schedule as expected.
If you wish to change the recurrence of a task, you can edit the recurrence description and this will be taken into account for all following tasks. You can also edit the date for the current task and the next task if you want to edit them specifically.
