This guide explains the "Project Settings" section, located in the right-hand column of your project's home page.
This section provides a centralized place to view and manage essential details about your project, including its name, associated people, important dates, custom attributes, and overall status.
Understanding these settings allows you to effectively control your project's information and collaboration.
At the top of the right-hand column, you will see the project's name. You can directly edit this name by clicking on the text field and typing your desired new name.
This section allows you to manage who is involved in your project across different roles.
- : This displays your internal team members assigned to the project. Their profile images are shown, and a count indicates if there are more than four team members. To modify the team members, click the "Edit" button next to the team list.
- : This displays external collaborators who are part of your project. Similar to clients, you will see their profile images, and a count will indicate additional people if the list is extensive. To manage external collaborators, click the "Edit" button next to their list.
- : This displays the clients associated with your project. You will see their profile images. If there are more than four clients, a count will indicate the additional number of people. To add or remove clients, click the "Edit" button next to the client list.
This section allows you to set and view important dates for your project.
- : This field allows you to set the official start date for your project.
- : This field allows you to set a specific deadline for your project. If the deadline has passed, an icon will indicate this.
This section displays any custom fields that have been configured for projects within your account. These fields provide additional, specific information relevant to your project.
- Each custom field has a title and a dropdown menu.
- To assign a value to a custom field, select an option from the dropdown.
- If a value is selected, a "Save" button will appear. You must click this button to save your selection.
- To remove a selected value from a custom field, click the "X" icon next to the dropdown.
This setting controls the visibility of your project.
- You can select the project's privacy level from a dropdown menu.
- The available options are:
- : This makes the project visible to all members of your internal team and any specific individuals you have invited to the project.
- : This restricts project visibility only to the specific individuals you have invited, regardless of their internal team status.
This setting indicates the current state of your project.
- You can select the project's status from a dropdown menu.
- The available options are:
- : This indicates the project is active and ongoing.
- : This indicates the project has been completed or is no longer active.
At the bottom of the right-hand column, you will find actions you can perform on the project.
- : Click this button to close the project details view and return to the main project page. This only shows if the project details is showing in a temporary view.
- : Click this icon to create an exact copy of the current project. This will create a new project with all the same details, tasks, and files.
- : Click this icon to transform the current project into a reusable template. This creates a new template based on your project's structure, which you can then use to quickly start similar projects in the future.
- : Click this button to initiate the process of deleting the project.
