Project Kanban View

The Project Kanban View organizes your projects into vertical columns, representing different categories or stages, providing a clear visual flow of your work.
This view is highly effective for managing project pipelines, tracking progress, and understanding the distribution of projects across various states.

What You See in Project Kanban View

The Kanban View is structured around columns and cards:
  • Columns: Projects are displayed within columns. These columns are typically based on a selected custom field, allowing you to group projects by criteria such as client, department, status, or any other relevant category. Each column has a title, an icon, and a count of the projects it contains.
  • Project Cards: Each project is represented by a card within a column. These cards provide a summary of the project, similar to the Project Cards View, including:
  • Project Name: The title of the project.
  • Project Image: If available, a visual representation of the project.
  • Privacy: Icons indicating the project's visibility (e.g., "Internal Team & Invited People," "Invited People Only").
  • Custom Fields: Any custom fields associated with the project, often displayed as colored tags.
  • Assigned People: Profile pictures of the individuals assigned to the project.
  • Dates: The project's start and end dates.
  • Status: The project's current status (e.g., "Open," "Closed").
  • Notification Bubble: A red bubble indicating unread comments or notifications.
  • "No Group" Column: If some projects do not have a value for the custom field used for grouping, they appear in a dedicated "No Group" column. This column can be expanded or collapsed to manage screen space.

What You Can Do in Project Kanban View

The Project Kanban View facilitates dynamic project management through several interactive features:
  • Drag-and-Drop Projects: You can drag and drop project cards between columns to update their category or status. You can also reorder projects within the same column. This provides an intuitive way to manage project flow.
  • Edit Column Properties: For columns based on custom fields, you can access buttons to edit the column's properties.
  • Move Columns: You can move columns left or right to reorder them on the board, adjusting the visual flow to your preference.
  • Expand/Collapse "No Group" Column: The "No Group" column has buttons to expand it, showing all projects without a specific grouping, or collapse it, minimizing its display.
  • Filter Projects: A "Filter" button is available, which opens a popup. Within this popup, you can apply filters based on project privacy, assigned people, and project status to narrow down the projects displayed on the Kanban board.
  • Sort Projects: A "Sort" button is available, which opens a popup. Within this popup, you can choose how to sort your projects within columns, such as by name, date, or other criteria, and specify the sort order (ascending or descending).
  • Group Projects: The "Project - Group" button allows you to select which custom field to use for grouping your projects into columns, dynamically changing the structure of your Kanban board.
  • Search Projects: A search input field is available to quickly find projects by name within the Kanban view.
