Data retention

This page explains how  Project.co  manages your data, ensuring it is retained for as long as necessary and providing you with control over its lifecycle.

Data Retention for Active Accounts

Project.co  retains your data for as long as your account remains active. This means that all your projects, tasks, files, discussions, notes, and other content will be securely stored and accessible within your account.
This continuous retention ensures that your historical project information, communications, and files are always available for your reference and ongoing work.

User-Initiated Data Deletion

You have direct control over the deletion of your data. This includes the ability to remove specific content or manage user accounts.
  • Deleting Specific Content:
  • You can delete individual items such as direct messages, custom fields, file folders, projects, and tasks. When you delete these items, they are permanently removed from the system.
  • Managing User Accounts:
  • Archiving a User: If you need to temporarily remove a user's access while retaining their associated data, you can archive their account. An archived user's data remains within the system, but they can no longer log in or access content. This is useful for retaining historical data without consuming an active user seat.
  • Permanently Deleting a User: For complete removal of a user and all data directly associated with their account, you can choose to permanently delete the user. This action is irreversible and removes the user's profile and their contributions from the platform.
Project.co  provides the tools to manage your data retention according to your needs, whether by maintaining an active archive of your work or by permanently removing specific information.
