Using Project Views: An Overview

This page explains the different ways you can view your projects within the application.
Understanding these views will help you organize your work, track progress, and collaborate more effectively.
Each view is designed to highlight different aspects of your project, allowing you to choose the best perspective for your current needs.

Understanding Project Views

Project.co  offers several distinct views. You can switch between these views using the "Views" button, which is located near the top of your project or task list.
Here are the available project views and what each is good for:

List View

The List View presents your projects or tasks in a clear, tabular format. This view is excellent for:
  • Quick Scanning: Easily review project or task names, statuses, and key details at a glance.
  • Detailed Information: See multiple data points for each item in a structured, row-by-row layout.
  • Efficient Management: Ideal for managing a large number of items where a compact display is preferred.

Kanban View

The Kanban View organizes your projects or tasks into columns, representing different stages of a workflow (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Done). This view is excellent for:
  • Visualizing Workflow: Clearly see the progression of projects or tasks through various stages.
  • Tracking Progress: Understand where each item stands in your process.
  • Drag-and-Drop Management: Easily move projects or tasks between columns as their status changes, providing an intuitive way to update progress.

Timeline View

The Timeline View displays your projects or tasks in a Gantt chart format, showing their duration and dependencies over time. This view is excellent for:
  • Project Scheduling: Plan and visualize project timelines with clear start and end dates.
  • Dependency Management: Understand how different tasks or project phases relate to each other.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track the overall progress of a project against its planned schedule.

Card View

The Card View presents each project or task as an individual card, often with a more visual and prominent display of key information. This view is excellent for:
  • Visual Overview: Get a quick, visually rich summary of each project or task.
  • Showcasing Key Details: Highlight important information, such as images, assigned team members, or critical dates, on each card.
  • Interactive Browsing: Ideal for exploring projects or tasks when a more engaging and less dense display is desired.

Calendar View

The Calendar View displays your projects or tasks on a calendar, based on their start and end dates or deadlines. This view is excellent for:
  • Deadline Management: Clearly see upcoming deadlines and scheduled events.
  • Resource Planning: Understand the workload distribution over specific days, weeks, or months.
  • Event-Based Tracking: Ideal for projects or tasks that are heavily tied to specific dates and appointments.

By utilizing these different project views, you can gain comprehensive visibility into your work and manage your projects and tasks in the way that best suits your workflow.
