Attaching relevant files directly to your tasks helps keep all project-related information organized and easily accessible for everyone involved.
Follow these steps to upload files and attach them to a specific task:
First, go to the specific task where you want to add files. You can find tasks within your projects.
Within the task details, look for a section dedicated to files. You will see an area that says "Drag & Drop files here or click to choose" or a button labeled "Upload Files".
- If you have files ready on your computer, you can drag them directly from your computer's file explorer and drop them onto the designated "Drag & Drop files here or click to choose" area.
- Alternatively, click anywhere within the "Drag & Drop files here or click to choose" area, or click the "Upload Files" button. This action will open a file selection window from your computer.
In the file selection window, browse your computer and select the file or files you wish to upload. Once selected, confirm your choice (e.g., by clicking "Open" or "Choose").
After selecting your files, a popup may appear showing the files you've chosen. You might have options to rename files or select a specific project or folder if you are uploading files generally. For tasks, the system automatically associates the file with the current task. Click the "Upload Files" button within this popup to start the upload process.
Once the upload is complete, you will see a success message, such as "[File Name] uploaded successfully." The newly uploaded file will now appear in the list of files associated with that specific task.
