Google Drive

Our Google Drive integration lets you choose files from your Google Drive account and share them in discussions and notes.

A few things to bear in mind:
You need to authorise your  Project.co  account to access your Google Drive when you first use this integration.
The files you share from Google Drive won't be uploaded to  Project.co  so they won't use any of your accounts allocated storage space. They will remain in your Google Drive account and by choosing a file to share you are simply sharing a link to that file within your Google Drive.
The permissions of the files you share from Google Drive need to be set so the users you share with have access to them.
Each person in your  Project.co  account can connect their Google Drive independently. This is a user level integration, not an account level integration.

How to use

You will see a Google Drive icon in discussion comment boxes in the project and task discussion tools:

You will also see a Google Drive option in the slash command menu in notes, task descriptions and project descriptions.

Click any of these options and you will be directed to authorise your Google account.

We request access to "See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app" and "See the list of Google calendars you’re subscribed to" and "View and edit events on all your calendars" so you can also  connect your Google Calendar .

When you have completed the authorisation you will be taken back to your  Project.co  account where you will see a Google Drive popover displaying your Google Drive files:

When you choose a file it will be added to either the comment box or the note depending on where you initiated the Google Drive file chooser.

Then, when someone clicks on the link to view the file they will be taken to your Google Drive account to view the file.
